about dave
Dave's lifetime has been dedicated to guiding people in their quest to balance happiness and success. After earning his B.A. in Wellness and Holistic Health, he spent more than four years coaching student leaders at Eastern Montana College and at Washington State University before leaving to pursue two of his long-time passions: High altitude alpine climbing and world exploration!

Little did Dave know at the time, he was embarking on a round-the-world journey that would alter the course of his life. Navigated only by inspiration, intuition and grace, Dave's path brought him into contact with tribal leaders, medicine men and Buddhist masters who would impart wisdom and offer guidance for his journey. Of his many experiences, he most highly remembers floating atop of the Dead Sea, learning meditation techniques from Buddhist elders on the Tibetan plateau, and his playful interactions with rare mountain gorillas in the Congo jungle.

Endowed with a more evolved wisdom and sense of purpose, Dave began working for the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School where he led groups of teenagers on 28-day-long mountaineering courses. At the same time, he began what would become a 13-year career with Recreational Equipment, Incorporated (REI), a well-respected Fortune "100 best company". There, Dave had the privilege of coaching and developing over 200 future leaders in the capacity of Manager, Director, and Vice President. At REI, he advanced more quickly through the corporate ladder than anyone in the then company's 55-year history.

Dave enjoys applying his experience, and wisdom to his growing Life Coaching (www.beclearcoaching.com) and WATSU practice in San Diego, California. He is Nationally Certified as a WATSU® Practitioner through the World Wide Aquatic Bodywork Association, and can be found on the worldwide therapist directory at www.waba.edu Beyond his private practice, Dave currently offers WATSU exclusively at the prestigious Golden Door www.goldendoor.com
